APP SUPPORT
A little help
with Threadline Inbox.
Email [email protected] and we’ll get back to you.
Connecting your accounts
Open Threadline and tap the person icon (top right), then Connect next to an app.
- Gmail and Google Chat: sign in with Google. Google Chat works with work or school (Google Workspace) accounts.
- iCloud Mail: use your iCloud address and an app-specific password from account.apple.com › Sign-In and Security. Don’t use your Apple Account password.
- Slack: sign in with Slack. Your workspace admin may need to approve Threadline.
- Microsoft Teams: sign in with a work or school Microsoft account. Your IT admin may need to approve Threadline.
- Telegram: enter your phone number and the code Telegram sends you.
- Matrix: enter your server (for example matrix.org), username and password.
- Discord: Discord doesn’t allow apps to read your direct messages. Threadline connects to your own Discord bot and shows the server channels you add it to.
- WhatsApp, Messenger and iMessage: these apps don’t share chats with other apps. Export a chat (for example WhatsApp › chat › Export Chat) and share it to Threadline, or paste messages in.
Common questions
Does Threadline store my messages on a server? No. Threadline has no servers; messages go directly from each service to your iPhone. See the privacy policy.
How do I disconnect an app? Accounts › the app › Disconnect. You can also revoke access from that service’s own settings.
Why do some conversations say “sample”? Apps you haven’t connected show example conversations so you can see how Threadline works.
When reporting an issue
Include your device model, iOS version, app version, and a brief description of what happened. Screenshots can help if they don’t contain personal information.
